CLEANING AND CARE TIPS FOR WOOD FURNITURE
Unlike veneered surfaces, wood can have irregularities. With proper maintenance, all our wooden furniture will last for generations—each piece is unique which makes their charm. Cracks and knots in the wood give a special character to each of these pieces. It does not alter the quality of the wood and, on the contrary, gives the surface a lively character.
It is important to understand that wood “breathes”; it absorbs moisture in the ambient air or restores it. When the wood moisture level increases, it can warp and form small cracks, this is quite normal and will cease to occur over time. In winter, when your heating system is running, ensure proper humidification of your space to avoid cracks in the furniture.
CARE TIPS
All our unvarnished furniture is treated with wood oil and we also recommend the use of oil for regular cleaning of surfaces.
THE USE OF OIL FOR REGULAR CARE OF SURFACES
The surface to be treated must be dry, clean, and free of dust. Apply the oil using a lint-free cloth with quick and regular movements. Oil the surfaces without interruption if possible. After about 10 minutes, wipe off the remaining oil with a clean cloth, until the surface is dry. Always work in the direction of the wood.
CARE AND USE ADVICE
- Regularly clean unvarnished furniture with wood oil.
- - Promptly remove stain of liquids (e.g., hot or cold beverage) from the surface to avoid formation of persistent stains.
